Elaine Shoben

Professor Shoben teaches primarily in the areas of Torts, Employment Law, and Judicial Remedies. She is a co-author of case books in Remedies and Employment Discrimination, and has authored numerous other books and articles in these subjects. She is the Judge Jack and Lulu Lehman Professor of Law at the Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada Las Vegas. Professor Shoben earned her A.B. from Barnard College and her J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of Law where she was the first woman to serve as Editor-in-Chief of the Hastings Law Journal and graduated Order of Coif.

Professor Shoben is also the Edward W. Cleary Professor of Law Emerita at the University of Illinois. She taught there many years and was the recipient of the Campus Award for Excellence in Graduate and Professional Teaching.
